Baseball Recap: Davenport Takes a Loss

Davenport lost against Lake Gibson back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Broncos fell just short of the Braves by a score of 6-5. The Broncos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Davenport saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luis Escalera, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Escalera is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Davenport's defeat dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Lake Gibson, they moved to 6-17 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Davenport will be taking part in a tournament against Tenoroc at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Broncos are facing the Titans at the right time seeing as the Titans are stuck on an 18-game losing streak. As for Lake Gibson, they will challenge Durant at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
