Soccer Game Preview: Las Plumas vs. Gridley

Las Plumas hasn't had much luck against Gridley recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Las Plumas Thunderbirds will challenge the Gridley Bulldogs at 3:15 p.m.

Las Plumas is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to six goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Corning on Thursday. They fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Gridley hasn't lost a match since December 5, 2024, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Orland, sneaking past 2-1. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Bulldogs were the better team in the second half.

Las Plumas' loss dropped their record down to 9-2-2. As for Gridley, their record now sits at 12-1-1.

Las Plumas came up short against Gridley when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Las Plumas avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
