Football Game Preview: West Marion Trojans vs. Pass Christian Pirates + Official Tickets

Two dominant signal callers in Braxton Albritton and Paris Trivillion are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The West Marion Trojans will square off against the Pass Christian Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with West Marion sitting on four straight victories and Pass Christian on five.

On Friday, West Marion earned a 33-21 win over Presbyterian Christian.

The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Albritton and Smith Stringer. Albritton had a great game and threw for 200 yards and a pair of TDs. Meanwhile, Stringer was balling out in the loss, throwing for 245 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per attempt.

Meanwhile, while Pass Christian put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Moss Point. The Pirates blew past the Tigers, posting a 49-0 victory. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 28 points or more this season.

Pass Christian's win came from a few key players West Marion will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Larkin Lewis, who picked up 52 receiving yards and a pair of scores. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in receiving touchdowns (two). Dwight Thomas did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 81 receiving yards.

Pass Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 240 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Moss Point only rushed for 41.

West Marion's record now sits at 6-2. As for Pass Christian, their record is now 7-1.
