Norwood had won three straight home games and Cooper Vaughan did his part to make it four on Monday. The Norwood Pirates walked away with a 69-60 win over the Fair Grove Eagles thanks in part to Vaughan, who went 7 for 9 en route to 19 points along with five assists and five rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15 points per game.

Carder Kelly was another key player, putting up 11 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played.

Norwood's victory bumped their record up to 21-2. As for Fair Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-10.

Norwood and Fair Grove should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. Norwood will face off against Sparta at 7:45 p.m. on Friday up 174 places (41 vs. 215). Norwood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 70.6 points per game this season. Similarly, Fair Grove (ranked 96th) will meet Reeds Spring (ranked 288th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
