Basketball Recap: North Eugene Takes a Loss

North Eugene was the 53-35 winner over Thurston when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The North Eugene Highlanders were just a bucket shy of victory on Wednesday and fell 37-36 to the Thurston Colts. The Highlanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Eugene's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Thurston, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7.

North Eugene has already played their next match (against Ashland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Thurston will take on Crater at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Crater has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
