Esko came out on top against Rush City on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Eskomos took their matchup against the Tigers 5-2. This was payback for the Eskomos, who suffered a 4-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The win made it two in a row for Esko and bumps their season record up to 6-6. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Rush City, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5.

Coming up, Esko will face off against Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rush City, they will challenge East Central at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
