Football Game Preview: Adrian/Jordan Valley vs. Elgin

Elgin may have come out ahead in their last matchup, but they shouldn't get too cocky given who is up next. They will challenge Adrian/Jordan Valley on the road at 1:00 PM on Friday. Elgin will really need to gear up for this challenge, as Adrian/Jordan Valley will be their toughest opponent yet.

After a disappointing 6 points in the match before, Elgin made sure to put some points up on the board against Powder Valley last Friday. Elgin put a hurting on Powder Valley to the tune of 58-20. Elgin were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.

Meanwhile, Adrian/Jordan Valley faced Wallowa in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Adrian/Jordan Valley took a serious blow against Wallowa, falling 6-62. Adrian/Jordan Valley's low-scoring loss was the unsatisfying follow-up to their high-scoring outing the game before.

Elgin's win lifted them to 2-2 while Adrian/Jordan Valley's defeat dropped them down to 2-2. We'll see if Elgin's success rolls on or if Adrian/Jordan Valley are able to steal their positive momentum.
