Softball Recap: Wilkes Central Comes Up Short

Wilkes Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They lost 17-0 to the West Wilkes Blackhawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 15-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Wilkes Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for West Wilkes, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Wilkes Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Wilkes, they will be playing at home against A.C. Reynolds at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
