Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Park Lions vs. MacArthur Generals

The Lincoln Park Lions will take on the MacArthur Generals at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Lincoln Park is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Lincoln Park faced off against Phillips on Thursday. Lincoln Park simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Phillips 76-43. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, MacArthur didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Dunlap on Friday, but they still walked away with a 63-59 win. Given the Generals' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while the Eagles are ranked 205th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

MacArthur pushed their record up to 14-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.6 points per game. As for Lincoln Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.
