Football Game Preview: Springfield Senators vs. Quincy Notre Dame Raiders

The Springfield Senators will head out to take on the Quincy Notre Dame Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Springfield's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

On Saturday, Springfield was fully in charge, breezing past Springfield Southeast 55-12.

Meanwhile, Quincy Notre Dame ended up a good deal behind Sacred Heart-Griffin on Friday and lost 42-26. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 157th, while the Cyclones are ranked 49th).

Springfield's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Quincy Notre Dame, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 3-1.

Springfield came up short against Quincy Notre Dame in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, falling 14-9. Can the Senators avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
