Basketball Recap: Friday's Defeat Ends Henryetta's Winning Streak

After flying high against Dove Science Academy back in December of 2024, Henryetta came back down to earth. The Henryetta Knights took a 46-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Okemah Panthers. The match marked the Knights' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Henryetta still got an impressive performance from Skylar Greenhaw, who posted 16 points. Greenhaw's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Talon Weaver was another key player, putting up ten points.

Henryetta moved to 4-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Okemah, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Henryetta has already played their next game, a 65-56 victory against Kellyville on the 7th. As for Okemah, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 66-58 win against Little Axe on the 7th.
