Football Recap: Port St. Lucie Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Port St. Lucie's offense. They fell 7-0 to the Jupiter Warriors on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 247th, while the Warriors are ranked 72nd).

Rachael Abbass was the offensive standout of the game as she threw for 219 yards and one touchdown. Those 219 passing yards gave her a new career-high.

Port St. Lucie's loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Jupiter, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Port St. Lucie wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 13-12 defeat against Lincoln Park Academy on the 13th. As for Jupiter, they have also already played their next contest, a 13-0 win against John Carroll Catholic on the 12th.
