Basketball Game Preview: Parrish Community Bulls vs. Palmetto Tigers

Parrish Community is 0-5 against Palmetto since December of 2021 but things could change on Wednesday. The Parrish Community Bulls will take on the Palmetto Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Palmetto will be up against a hot Parrish Community team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. Parrish Community walked away with a 61-54 win over Imagine School at North Port on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Palmetto fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Booker on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 67-60 to the Tornadoes. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Tigers came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Tornadoes are ranked 324th).

Parrish Community is also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.2 points per game. As for Palmetto, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-7.

Parrish Community was dealt a bruising 66-34 loss at the hands of Palmetto in their previous meeting last Thursday. Can Parrish Community avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
