League recap: Clovis North paces Tri-Rivers with four wins over past week

Tri-Rivers league recap: 3/8/13

Clovis North outpaced the rest of the league this week, as its four total wins led the league. The Broncos beat Merced 17-1, Redwood 11-0 and Mt. Whitney 9-1.

Clovis West and Buchanan are tied atop the standings of Tri-Rivers, leaving first place open for the taking.

Clovis East's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing 32 hits and 16 walks to lead the league in both categories.

The week's strikeout crown belonged to Seth Sarabian, who turned in six Ks for the Timberwolves. He's second in the league with 15 total strikeouts.



Ryan Owens's .462 batting average (6-for-13) for Clovis East was the best in the league this week. For the season, he's hitting .391, good for third in the league. Owens has totaled nine hits this season.
