Volleyball Game Preview: Elko Indians vs. Truckee Wolverines

Elko is 2-8 against Truckee since September of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Indians are taking a road trip to take on the Wolverines at 5:00 p.m.

Elko came up short against Churchill County on Saturday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Indians have suffered against the Greenwave since October 26, 2022.

Truckee had won seven straight games and Zoe Jackson did her part to make it eight on Thursday. Everything went the Wolverines' way against Wooster as they made off with a 3-0 win thanks in part to Jackson, who had 16 digs and three aces. She has been hot, having posted 14 or more digs the last six times she's played.

Truckee was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-19, 25-19.

Elko's defeat dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Truckee, their victory bumped their record up to 23-6.

Elko couldn't quite get it done against Truckee in their previous matchup back in September as they fell 3-1. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Jackson, who had 29 digs and two assists. Now that the Indians know the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time?
