Basketball Game Preview: Union County Yellowjackets vs. Mountain View Prep Stars

The Union County Yellowjackets will head out on the road to face off against the Mountain View Prep Stars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Union County is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Union County is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Woodruff on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Union County came up short against Woodruff, falling 61-40. The Yellowjackets were down 50-29 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Mountain View Prep can bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 38-35 win over Greer Middle College.

Mountain View Prep's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-16. As for Union County, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

Union County strolled past Mountain View Prep in their previous matchup on January 10th by a score of 35-20. The rematch might be a little tougher for Union County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
