Tri-County recap September 24, 2013
Morenci scaled the state rankings by moving to 282 from 380 this week, the biggest jump in Tri-County. The Bulldogs were able to move up by beating Summerfield 41-28.
Clinton extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Madison, 50-20. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Clinton's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Redskins feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. TJ Baker has thrown for 461 yards and 7 touchdowns this season, while Mathew Sexton has 10 catches for 225 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Whiteford takes on the Bulldogs. As it stands, the Bobcats are in second, while Summerfield is in third.
Whitmore Lake was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fifth in Tri-County. Earlier in the week, the Trojans triumphed over Sand Creek 45-6.
