Basketball Preview: Hillsboro Tigers vs. Cashton Eagles
Hillsboro is 2-8 against the Eagles since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Hillsboro Tigers will look to defend their home court against the Cashton Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Hillsboro sitting on four straight wins and the Eagles on five.
Even though Hillsboro has not done well against the Cardinals recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Hillsboro pulled ahead with a 52-51 photo finish over the Cardinals.
Meanwhile, Cashton stacked a 14th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They blew past Brookwood, posting a 86-34 victory at home. Cashton's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Hillsboro is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Cashton, their victory bumped their record up to 18-1.
