Basketball Recap: Jefferson Extends Winning Streak to Four

Jefferson waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 66-54 victory over the Manhattan Tigers. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Tigers are ranked 111th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jefferson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaida Jurenka, who went 6 of 10 en route to 15 points. Jurenka is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Brooklyn Miller was another key player, going 5 for 7 on her way to 12 points and eight boards.

Jefferson's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Manhattan, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Jefferson will square off against Park at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Manhattan, they will take on Ennis at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
