Football Recap: Mendenhall Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mendenhall can now relate to. The game between the Tigers and the Newton County Cougars didn't end well, with the Tigers falling 35-19. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.

Ty Davis threw for 157 yards and one TD. Zimir Posey was his top target, picking up 43 receiving yards. On the ground, Jeremy Butts rushed for 51 yards.

Mendenhall's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Newton County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Mendenhall does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Newton County, they have already played their next matchup, a 27-22 loss against Columbia on the 14th.
