Flag Football Game Preview: Santa Barbara Dons vs. Pacifica Tritons

The Santa Barbara Dons will head out on the road to take on the Pacifica Tritons at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Santa Barbara hasn't scored more than 12 points for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 48-8, which was the final score in Santa Barbara's tilt against San Marcos on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Dons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 329th, while the Royals are ranked 12th).

Meanwhile, Pacifica fell victim to Rio Mesa and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 32-0 loss at the hands of the Spartans.

Santa Barbara's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Pacifica, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.

Santa Barbara and Pacifica were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in September, but Santa Barbara came up empty-handed after an 8-7 defeat. Can the Dons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
