Basketball Recap: Lakota Tech's Winning Streak Snapped at Seven Games

Lakota Tech and Wagner squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Lakota Tech had to settle for second. They fell 66-58 to the Wagner Red Raiders. The Tatanka's loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Lakota Tech lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Shania Ferguson, who posted 14 points and eight steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 18 games she's played. Peyton Knife was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and ten boards.

Lakota Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Wagner, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Lakota Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wagner, they will take on Mahpiya Luta at 7:45 p.m. on March 13th. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Mahpiya Luta comes in on 22 and Wagner on five.
