Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Lampasas' Seventh in Last Eight Outings

The Lampasas Badgers were able to grind out a solid victory over the McGregor Bulldogs on Tuesday, taking the game 7-3. With that win, the Badgers brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

Cory White was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

Lampasas has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for McGregor, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

Lampasas didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-3 defeat against Gatesville on the 1st. McGregor has also already played their next game (against Scurry-Rosser), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
