Baseball Game Preview: Sky View Bobcats vs. Bear River Bears

For the second straight game, Sky View will face off against Bear River. The Bobcats will challenge the Bears at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Sky View is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Last Monday, Sky View came up short against Bear River and fell 9-5.

For Bear River's part, the team relied heavily on Thomas Summers, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run. Those four RBI gave Summers a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nick Oliverson, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Summers wasn't the only one making solid contact: Bear River kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Bear River's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-7. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Sky View, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.
