Softball Recap: Erwin Comes Up Short

Erwin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 14-3 to the McDowell Titans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 back in March.

Erwin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dusty Chapman, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Erwin now has a losing record of 7-8. As for McDowell, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Erwin is set to challenge their familiar foe T.C. Roberson at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, McDowell will take on rival A.C. Reynolds at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
