Volleyball Recap: Westbrook-Walnut Grove Find Success

Westbrook-Walnut Grove saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came out on top against the Pine River-Backus Tigers by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chargers.

Carlie Ross paced Westbrook-Walnut Grove's offense, picking up eight kills. Ross got some help from Hadley Jenniges and her 17 assists.

Westbrook-Walnut Grove's win bumped their record up to 10-4-1. As for Pine River-Backus, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

Westbrook-Walnut Grove wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Kenyon-Wanamingo on the 20th. As for Pine River-Backus, they will challenge Bemidji at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
