Basketball Recap: Water Valley Takes a Loss

Water Valley came up into this matchup off a tough 51-point loss on Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Calhoun City Wildcats by a score of 43-40 on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Water Valley's loss dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Calhoun City, their victory bumped their record up to 14-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Water Valley will head out to challenge O'Bannon at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Calhoun City, they are taking a road trip to take on North Side at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
