Softball Game Preview: DuBois Central Catholic Cardinals vs. Juniata Valley Hornets

Rylee Kulbatsky spent all 12 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits and racked up 21 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lily Davidson, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Juniata Valley's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of Claysburg-Kimmel by a score of 5-4.

Brooklyn Harman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Kelsey Ersek was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

DuBois Central Catholic now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Juniata Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10-1.
