Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Akron walked away with it. They won by a run and slipped past the Flatirons Academy Bison 8-7. The victory was nothing new for the Rams as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Tucker Stahn made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in 11 consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alex Bowin, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Jakzon Livesay was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

Akron's win bumped their record up to 21-4. As for Flatirons Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 17-6 record.

As of now, neither Akron nor the Bison have any future games scheduled.
