Baseball Recap: Struthers Comes Up Short

Struthers came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the South Range Raiders, falling 9-2. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Raiders from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

Struthers saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Pastella, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Struthers moved to 4-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for South Range, their record is now 3-5.

While Struthers had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
