Union had already won ten in a row and they went ahead and made it 11 on Saturday. They came out on top against the Lake Hornets by a score of 2-0. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 2-1 victory on Saturday.

Union easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-17.

Ava Smith paced Union's offense, picking up ten kills. Smith got some help from Abigail Cleveland and her 19 assists. Destiny Moulds controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Union's victory bumped their record up to 26-8. As for Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-6.

Coincidentally, Union and Lake will both be playing Newton County the next time they take the court. The Hornets will head out to face the Cougars at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Yellowjackets will play them later in the day, at 4:00 p.m.
