Soccer Game Preview: McMinn County vs. Ooltewah

The McMinn County Cherokees will venture away from home to challenge the Ooltewah Owls at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ooltewah took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on McMinn County, who comes in off a win.

McMinn County was handed a nine-goal loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They skirted past East Hamilton 1-0. The victory was a breath of fresh air for McMinn County as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Ooltewah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Howard Tech, falling 5-1.

Ooltewah's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for McMinn County, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-7.

McMinn County skirted past Ooltewah 2-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cherokees since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
