Volleyball Recap: St. Mary's Triumphs

St. Mary lost to Marcos de Niza back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Knights walked away with a 3-1 win over the Padres. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

The victory didn't come easy: Marcos de Niza scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 26-24, 17-25, 27-25, 25-18.

St. Mary's now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Marcos de Niza, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Mary's will host Cactus Shadows at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight. As for Marcos de Niza, they will welcome Mesquite at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
