Soccer Recap: Milton Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Milton and Williamson squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Milton had to settle for second. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Warriors who were credited with the win. The Williamson Warriors got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Milton Black Panthers' four. Milton were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Williamson apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2019.

Tobin Strous wasn't going to let Williamson walk away unscathed as he scored both of Milton's goals, bringing his season total up to 12 goals.

Milton's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-11-1. As for Williamson, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Milton nor Williamson have any future games scheduled.
