Basketball Recap: Harman Comes Up Short

Harman lost against Tygarts Valley back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Harman Panthers took a blow against the Tygarts Valley Bulldogs, falling 71-38.

Harman's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Gage Ketterman, who posted 17 points, and Grady Shifflett, who had 14 points.

Tygarts Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alex Scott led the charge by on his way to 15 points. The dominant performance gave Scott a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Parker Bell, who earned nine points and five steals.

Harman's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Tygarts Valley, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers duke it out with the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tygarts Valley, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 74-64 defeat against Petersburg on the 25th.
