Softball Recap: Telstar Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Telstar had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Valley Cavaliers, falling 12-1. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.

Telstar saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taejyah Lego, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

Valley has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Telstar will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Vinalhaven at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Valley, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Wiscasset at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
