Football Recap: Nacogdoches Falls Short of Port Neches-Groves in the Playoffs + How To Watch

Nacogdoches and Port Neches-Groves squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Nacogdoches had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Indians 48-7. The Dragons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-0.

Jaylan Garrett threw for 46 yards on five of eight attempts. Joel Jones was his top target, picking up 37 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Trae Page rushed for 42 yards.

Tyson Henry had an outrageously good game for Port Neches-Groves as he rushed for 86 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries.

Nacogdoches is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5. As for Port Neches-Groves, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
