After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mountain House, Stagg was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the McNair Eagles a 19-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Delta Kings, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Aerie Garcia was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Garcia was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Alexus Short was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jazlyn Ramirez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Stagg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .618. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McNair only posted an OBP of .294.

Stagg's victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for McNair, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.

Stagg wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 10-8 win against Los Banos on the 25th. As for McNair, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-2 victory against Franklin on the 29th.
