Football Recap: Chicago Hope Academy Falls Short of IC Catholic Prep in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Chicago Hope Academy can now relate to. They were outmatched by the IC Catholic Prep Knights and fell 42-13. Having soared to a lofty 68 points in the game before, Chicago Hope Academy couldn't push the score so high this time.

Nate Lang had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 257 yards and five TDs while completing 77.3% of his passes for IC Catholic Prep. Those five passing touchdowns gave Lang a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Schmidt, who picked up 81 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Chicago Hope Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for IC Catholic Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Chicago Hope Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for IC Catholic Prep, they will take on Bishop McNamara at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Fightin' Irish have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games.
