Basketball Recap: Garden Valley Takes a Loss

Garden Valley blew Wilder out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Wilder got their revenge. The Garden Valley Wolverines fell just short of the Wilder Wildcats by a score of 44-42. The game was a 22-22 toss-up at halftime, but the Wolverines couldn't quite close it out.

Garden Valley has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Wilder, their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Garden Valley will head out to square off against Greenleaf Friends Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wilder, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Wilder Wildcats take on the Gem State Adventist Academy Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Wilder's defense has only allowed 28.6 points per game this season, so Gem State Adventist Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
