Basketball Recap: Bladensburg Takes a Loss

Bladensburg played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Laurel Spartans 81-47. The Mustangs have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyler Holt, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelly Nwafor, who scored 13 points and six rebounds.

Bladensburg's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Laurel, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Bladensburg will take on Parkdale in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Laurel and Bowie will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
