Caesar Rodney waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Sussex Academy Seahawks. That's more bragging rights for the Riders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Justice Smith made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Smith was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs.

Smith wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was William Lorentz, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Caesar Rodney's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Sussex Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Caesar Rodney will take on Laurel at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sussex Academy, they will square off against Woodbridge at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
