La Crosse Central waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the West Salem Panthers by a score of 50-43. For the Riverhawks, this counts as revenge for the 72-49 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

La Crosse Central pushed their record up to 10-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for West Salem, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. La Crosse Central will square off against Elkhorn at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for West Salem, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the West Salem Panthers take on the Black River Falls Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Black River Falls knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully West Salem likes a good challenge.
