Basketball Game Preview: Coolidge Bears vs. Holbrook Roadrunners

The Coolidge Bears will square off against the Holbrook Roadrunners at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 87-46, which was the final score in Coolidge's tilt against Valley Christian on Wednesday. The Bears haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Jensen Carter, who went 6-for-12 on his way to 17 points and five boards. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Adarius Miguel, who went 6-for-9 to rack up 14 points and six boards.

Meanwhile, Holbrook strolled past Payson with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 45-27. The win continues a trend for the Roadrunners in their matchups with the Longhorns: they've now won five in a row.

Coolidge's defeat dropped their record down to 22-9. As for Holbrook, they pushed their record up to 21-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coolidge was able to grind out a solid win over Holbrook in their previous meeting back in February of 2022, winning 67-57. Does Coolidge have another victory up their sleeve, or will Holbrook turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
