Football Recap: Bogalusa Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Bogalusa's offense. They took a blow against the Liberty Magnet Patriots on Friday, falling 64-0. The loss leaves the Lumberjacks still looking for their first win of the season.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Zaiden Foster and AJ Stephens. Foster rushed for 127 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries while Stephens rushed for 104 yards and one score on only 11 carries. Foster is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 114 every time he's taken the field this season.

Bogalusa's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Liberty Magnet, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-2.

Bogalusa has already played their next contest, a 48-6 loss against Amite on the 10th. As for Liberty Magnet, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 38-16 defeat against Catholic on the 9th.
