Baseball Recap: Clinton Takes a Loss

Clinton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 6-1 to the Bethany Bronchos. The Red Tornadoes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bronchos apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2019.

Clinton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ayden Crumley, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Those two hits gave Crumley a new career-high. Easten Powell also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Bethany, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

While Clinton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
