The Bath Wildcats put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Van Wert with a sharp 41-19 victory. Given Bath's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while Van Wert is ranked 465th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Van Wert still got an impressive performance from jordanne blythe, who scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Bath's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Van Wert, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Bath will be playing at home against Shawnee at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Van Wert, they will head out on the road to face off against Spencerville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Spencerville and Van Wert are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads.
