Basketball Game Preview: Monte Vista Monarchs vs. Crawford Colts

The Monte Vista Monarchs will face off against the Crawford Colts at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Monte Vista is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Sweetwater, falling 38-14. The game marked the Monarchs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Jada Harris and Princess Eto, who each put up four points.

Meanwhile, Crawford ended up a good deal behind Santana last Monday and lost 25-9. The Colts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Monte Vista's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Crawford, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

Monte Vista skirted past Crawford 48-45 when the teams last played back in November of 2018. The rematch might be a little tougher for Monte Vista since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
