Lakeview is a perfect 4-0 against Lexington since October of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. Lakeview will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Lakeview is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nebraska's top teams: Concordia, who was ranked 24th at the time (Lakeview was ranked sixth). The Vikings had just enough and edged out the Mustangs 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Vikings have posted since September 23rd.

Meanwhile, Lexington came up short against Aurora on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Minutemen have struggled against the Huskies recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Lexington took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-15, 25-17.

Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 11-19. As for Lakeview, their win bumped their record up to 28-4.
