Basketball Recap: Olathe North Falls Short Against Ranked Olathe Northwest

On Friday, Olathe North faced Olathe Northwest in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Olathe North Eagles were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 49-48 to the Olathe Northwest Ravens. The Eagles have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Jj Lee continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Olathe Northwest, shooting 60% from the field to rack up 20 points and six rebounds. Lee is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 58% in the last eight games he's played. Corin Conard also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Olathe North's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Olathe Northwest, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
